The heart of Indian Ocean
The Island is a volcanic rock wading in the intense blue of Indian Ocean. Its geographical features offer a wild range of landscapes between the 4 elements.
One of the particularity of our little paradise, is its active volcano: Le Piton de la Fournaise (of course not dangerous for the population) and its sleepy volcano : Le Piton des Neiges (which is also the highest peak). The mountains are surrounding and give the opportunity to do nice hike trough the 3 calderas with amazing point of view.
Did you heard about our primate forests and its biodiversity? Endemic birds and plants, tropical flower are implanted in the scenery.
Also, if you want to improve your day a cocktail in the hand, at weather edge you will discover that swimming pool and beaches are not the only possibilities. Wonderful nature pool and waterfalls are waiting for you!

Reunion Island is a french oversea and is not very know by tourist, which make it an authentic destination. The area is about 340 km² and welcome ca. 851 000 inhabitants.
The climate is mild in general. There are just 2 seasons : Summer and winter. The ideal period to travel in Reunion is between November and January or between May to August.
People live in majority on costs. The west coast is know to be dry and more touristic because of the beaches, and the east coast is know to be very green with a lot of hike to do. The south coast is know to be wild, with wild nature and beautiful primate forests. (The ideal place to discover the Reunions nature).
